Ashley Stensland is coming to the Arrow and Thread studio to teach the art of cyanotype printing! This 2 hour class will consist of using natural elements like flowers and leaves to create a cyanotype design on fabric. Dyeing or printing on textiles lends you even more magic and creativity to your handmade garments. One of the earliest photographic printing methods, Cyanotype printing, is an artistic yet accessible process that results in beautiful custom textiles. The cyanotype process yields a deep blue hue on paper and natural fabrics, creating a negative print of any object arranged to cast a shadow on the surface during exposure to sunlight. CLASS IS FULL: Beginner Sewing 6 Week Session: 6/27 to 8/1, Ages 8-14, Tuesdays 4:30 - 5:30pm
Beginner kids sewing classes focusing on basic sewing instructions that will allow each student to have a hands-on sewing experience. By the end of the session each child will have learned to sew with confidence and creativity. They will each leave with a completed project that they have created start to finish! We believe that teaching the basic skills of sewing through simple projects will help build a child’s confidence for any kind of artistic expression.
